We kicked off the 250th Celebration of Guinness at Cryan’s Ale House and Grill

It was a beautiful evening so we sat out on the deck with friends. The food was great and of course the beverages were excellent! We immediately ordered a round of the 250th anniversary Guinness to try it out. The first sip is when I noticed the change in texture due to the carbonation. It was unlike the regular Guinness I had come to know and love. The flavor however, was smooth and finished clean. I noticed a bit of sweetness within the stout (Dan and MJ said this was because I was chewing gum… perhaps they are right)

I wanted to give a special thanks to the owner of Cryan’s who bought us both a Guinness. What a great way to start the night! We now had both kinds Guinness in front of us at the table and were able to compare them.

We ended up at Mannion’s Irish Pub for a few more rounds of the 250th. We ordered our drinks and to our surprise, we got collector’s glasses! We also came away with free t-shirts and some other swag!

All in all it was a great night and we were happy to join the rest of the world to celebrate the 250th anniversary of Guinness!
